Tips — Tools — Techniques – for precision piecing
We have all heard the sage advice…. “Measure twice. Cut once.”
But we also know that there is more to it than measuring and cutting. In this workshop students will learn tips and techniques to improve their piecing skills and the tools that will make the difference.
Each student will create a Precision Piecing Sampler mini 
The class will include:
Tips for prepping your fabric before you cut and during the process.
Best practices for clean cuts and true measurements.
What is a ¼” seam? Full 1/4? Scant ¼”
Techniques for making point perfect HSTs and HRTs.
Conquering curves without pins.
Playing with partial seams and more.
Supply list will be provided when booking is scheduled.
Building with HSTs
Build an original design using 2” or 3” squares and half-square triangles.
In this workshop students will design an original quilt and learn piecing techniques using small squares and HSTs to build graphic geometric designs. Students will learn modern concepts of breaking out of the grid, using negative space to create focal interest and gain confidence in creative improvisation.

Circles and Curves
Do you love circles and curves but find the process daunting? Do curves represent tons of pins and hours of frustration?
In this workshop students will learn how they can confidently sew curves and circles without pins. We will explore multiple methods for creating curves and circles.
